Federspiel

More than two decades filled with music, friendship and unforgettable moments, both on and off stage.

As an artistic heavyweight with feather-light compositions in its repertoire, the ensemble has long been performing on the world’s major concert stages. Their performances have taken them from Scandinavia to Egypt and from the USA back to the beautiful Wachau region. In hundreds of concerts, from the Elbphilharmonie to the Vienna Konzerthaus, from Stanford University to a rustic pub, Federspiel has developed its own musical language at the intersection of tradition and modernity, establishing itself as one of the most innovative ensembles on the European brass music scene.

With new compositions in the signature Federspiel sound, but of course also featuring favourite pieces and anecdotes from days gone by, Federspiel is celebrating its anniversary as a festival for itself and its audience.

Looking back together, revelling in memories, and yet joyfully embracing the future!
